This painting captures a moment during one of our trips in Tucson. I looked out of the hotel window and was amazed again, as in so many other times already, by the distinctive landscape of the American Southwest, where towering palm trees create striking silhouettes against the arid terrain. I sketched the view quickly and later painted it on canvas.
